Winter Break Assignment: Holt
You can achieve points for the assignment in two ways:
1. I will total your points for all of the research process grades (3 source cards, 5 source cards, 10 note cards, 25 note cards, outline, problem draft, solution draft, first complete draft, second draft, etc.). The total you get will be your score on this project (in other words you won’t have to do this project if you keep up with the due dates).
a. If you opt for this assignment it will be worth 100 points and will take the place of the presentation (following).
-OR-
2. Create and deliver a 10-15 minute presentation on your problem/solution research. You will be graded for clarity of delivery of information, accuracy of information, ability to engage the audience, a multi-media portion (power point, video, etc.), and an example of your research in use. Your job is to educate the class about your topic, in other words, teach us your topic.
a. Examples; teach us the problem/solution with visual examples. Bring in samples to have students try to solve (an application, an engine, a fastball, etc.)
b. If you opt for this assignment it will be worth 100 points, and will be due the first day back from Winter Break (no exceptions!!!).
